Text: John 13:1-17
Have you ever wanted to be like someone else? Perhaps you remember as a child daydreaming of being like a certain athlete, actor, or other famous person. Fortunately, as we age and mature we usually grow out of that stage. However, for the Christian we never outgrow this stage. In fact, it is a sign of growth and maturity that we continually pursue being more like one person – Jesus Christ. God calls us out of sin and darkness into salvation, but that doesn’t mean that we sit around and do nothing once we’ve been rescued. Our life-long mission is now to know Him, obey Him, and be more like Jesus. This message today points us to a practical but powerful way that we can be more like Him. We hope you will listen to be encouraged and challenged to follow His example.
