What To Do When God Does Something New

Text: Acts 10:1-35, 43-48

Many new things in life can be fun and exciting, while other new things can be quite painful and challenging. Regardless of the “new” things that we face, we can be confident that God’s grace is sufficient for every need, and His mercies are new every morning. We can also be certain that God can be trusted when facing these “new” things. In fact, it is often in these new moments that God is stretching and molding us for His glory and purposes. This message explains how we should respond and what we should do when God is doing a new thing.

God is in Control: Trusting in the Providence of God

Text: Luke 2:1-7

In every aspect of the birth of Christ, we find that there were great circumstances and difficulty. The situations for Mary, Joseph, Simeon, and the Magi were far from ideal. Yet through it all we find that God was still in control, sovereignly working everything together to accomplish His divine plan and purpose. This wonderful truth gives us the same assurance that He is still working all things in our life together for His glory and our good. We must simply trust the providence of God.
