It's High Time: It's High Time to Look Up

There are many things in the world today that can cause discouragement, frustration, anxiety, and fear. However, for the believer, we have nothing to fear. We have the assurance of God’s presence and the promise of His return. This world is not our home; we are simply passing through headed for our eternal home. This message reminds us of the wonderful truth of Jesus’ return and helps us to prepare for that glorious day. We pray that you will listen today to be encouraged and readied for the Lord.

We live in a culture that is constantly promoting “self.” We are encouraged to live for ourselves, be ourselves, make a name for ourselves, and do whatever pleases ourselves. This message of “self” produces all forms of greed in our life. In this passage, Jesus gives a parable to demonstrate how greed works in our lives and how common it is. He also gives the remedy to overcoming this greed so that we might live and give generously for His glory and the good of others.
