Not Ashamed! The Mission is Bigger

Text: Matthew 28:18-20

When the church sees itself as the mission, growth often happens through addition—one person at a time, one program at a time. But when the church embraces God’s mission as its purpose, multiplication takes place. The early church in Acts grew exponentially, not because they focused on growing a church, but because they prioritized spreading the Gospel. When the mission drives the church, God’s power fuels multiplication, leading to disciples making disciples and churches planting churches.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Why

Text: John 3:14-16

As followers of Jesus, we know our calling to share the Gospel with others, but I wonder today if we truly understand the “why?”. Why must we go and share the Good News of Jesus with others? Why must we be bold and courageous in our witness? Why must we seek to serve our neighbors and minister to them in their point of need? Why must we live our lives with purpose rather than just passively passing the time? John 3:16 simply, but powerfully, answers the why? The great answer to “Why?” does not begin with man, but with the holy God of Heaven Who has done the unimaginable for mankind. The better we know the love of God, the better we will seek to make His love known to others. God’s love is not something that simply inspires us, invites us, or instructs us. When you and I truly have experienced God’s love in our lives, then it will actually incite us to go and share the same with others.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Purpose

Text: Matthew 5:14-16

The verses of Scripture in this message are some of the most popular words of Jesus from His most infamous sermon. As we study the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus reveals our purpose and role in society. God has uniquely placed us in this world to shine the light of Christ through good works that push away the darkness and point others to Him. The concept that Jesus presented was very simple, but there are some specific things we must truly understand if we are ever going to shine the light of Christ effectively. His simple words will profoundly impact our lives and the lives of countless others if we heed them and apply them.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Neighbor

Text: Luke 10:25-37

This message continues our focus on growing as witnesses of Jesus. Many talk about evangelism and ministering to others in concepts and ideals, but Jesus shows us clearly that our calling is about real-life people and faithful practices of serving them and sharing with them the truth of the Gospel. If we are going to be the witnesses that God has called us to be we must be very intentional in knowing our neighbors, but how we get there may be different than you expect. We invite you to listen today to be encouraged, challenged, and better equipped to share Jesus with others.
