Not Ashamed! Know Your Neighbor

Text: Luke 10:25-37

This message continues our focus on growing as witnesses of Jesus. Many talk about evangelism and ministering to others in concepts and ideals, but Jesus shows us clearly that our calling is about real-life people and faithful practices of serving them and sharing with them the truth of the Gospel. If we are going to be the witnesses that God has called us to be we must be very intentional in knowing our neighbors, but how we get there may be different than you expect. We invite you to listen today to be encouraged, challenged, and better equipped to share Jesus with others.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Audience

Text: 1 Corinthians 9:16-23

Every follower Jesus has been called to share the Good News of the Gospel with others, but in doing so, it is important for us to remember that our witness isn’t simply about conveying the points of the Gospel or even relaying our personal story of how God saved us. It is vitally important that we take time to carefully consider the audience that we are sharing with, whether an individual or a crowd. If we aren’t mindful of our audience, our message is likely to fall on deaf ears. The Apostle Paul models for us the example of Christ and shows us how we should deliberately seek to understand our audience so that we might effectively share the truth of the Gospel with them. If we seek to know who they are, where they’re coming from, and what their perspective is, we can show genuine care and concern and find clear connecting points to the greatest news they can ever hear. We invite you to listen today to consider your next step in being a witness for Jesus.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Reliance

Text: Colossians 4:2-6

This message focuses on one of the greatest gifts and resources that God has given us – prayer. Prayer is how we have ongoing conversation with God, how we relate to Him, pour our heart out to Him, and seek His leading in our lives. Sadly, for many, our prayerlessness proves great pride in our hearts. We often fail to pray because we think we can handle the tasks at hand without the Lord, but when it comes to lost souls being saved, we must understand that this is completely impossible apart from the power of God. We must get to a place of holy desperation and reliance upon God if we expect to see Him move afresh in our lives and in the lives of others. We pray that this message will encourage you and challenge you to grow in strategically praying for the lost.

Not Ashamed! Know Your Testimony

Text: Acts 22:1-22

We all love a good story. Television producers and programs certainly know how to capitalize on this by presenting stories that capture our attention, draw us in, and keep us tuning in with suspense. This reality should cause us as Christians to carefully consider the value and impact that our “story” may have on others. Sharing our “story” of how Christ saved us and changed us is biblical, practical, and when told through a life that demonstrates true change, is powerful! We invite you to listen today and consider, “Do you know your testimony? What is it, and how might God use it to impact others?”
