When the Church Prays

Text: Acts 1:4-14; 2:37-42

Have you ever considered what happens when the Church prays? Have you ever considered how He can open doors, provide resources, give unity and clarity, raise up leaders, give supernatural boldness, open hearts, save souls, heal the sick, and even change the world? When we consider the many ways that God works through prayer, it is shocking that we pray so little. Sadly, most Christians view prayer as if it is a “side item” on the menu. We can take it or leave it, and most of the time we choose the latter. As Christians, we often claim to believe in the power of prayer and mentally acknowledge the importance of prayer, yet neither is truly reflected in our actions. This sermon and series are designed to help us know and experience the simple reality that, “God moves in extraordinary ways when the Church prays!” If you want to experience Him in your life today, we invite you to listen to the message.

Joy in Generosity: What Will You Say?

Text: Matthew 25:14-30

Throughout this series we have asked several questions concerning generosity: 1) Who do you serve? 2) What do you seek? 3) Who do you trust? 4) How do you give? 5) How does God give? Each of these questions has been given in the present tense as an opportunity for self-examination. Today’s message and question causes us to move our focus from the present to the future. It challenges us to consider what it will be like when we stand before God and give an account of how we have stewarded His resources. Proverbs 29:18a tells us, “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained.” This message helps us establish a proper vision of our resources so that we may be found faithful in our management of them.

Joy in Generosity: How Does God Give?

Text: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Throughout this series, we have asked several questions as a means of self-examination in the area of generosity. Each of these questions has been centered around us - how we steward our time, talents, and treasures. Today’s question is all about God, “How does God give?” One of the primary reasons that so few people give generously to the work of the Lord is because either they do not know the Lord, or they are not walking close enough to know His heart in giving. Today, you can know Him, His heart for generosity, and what He promises to give to those who honor Him. We invite you to listen today.
