Always, All Ways...Christ: All In

Text: Colossians 1 (NASB)

Can you imagine what it would be like, what God could do, if we lived a life where we were always, in all ways, all in Christ? God’s Word exhorts us to be ready. We have a purpose, a mission, and a calling as disciples and the church to be ready for what the Lord has for us to do. But our life must reflect Christ to be effective. In our culture today we face many false teachings, temptations, and divisions that diminish the light we are to have and the impact we are to make. Colossians chapter 1 will help us with the foundation we need to strive according to God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

Christian Education Begins in the HOME

Text: Deuteronomy 6:1-7 (NKJV)

God has given many responsibilities to a parent, both father and mother. While providing and protecting our children is at the top of the list, we also find at the top of the list that they are to be trained, especially receiving training that brings about spiritual knowledge and growth! From Deuteronomy 6 and Ephesians 6 we find specific instructions for the spiritual education of a child and it is clear that this teaching BEGINS in the HOME. Taking a page from the school system that says a child needs to learn the 3 Rs (reading, writing, and arithmetic), we find there are 3 Rs for spiritual training. We are to train our children to have a REVERENCE for God, to have a RESPECT for others, and to grow in being RESPONSIBLE for oneself!

God Says Go!

Text: Acts 8:26-40

God says GO. It’s a simple statement, but the response may not be quite so easy. God has a plan for your life and, though you may not understand it fully, He wants you to be a part of that plan. In Acts 8:26-40, we learn about a man named Philip who didn’t fully understand God’s plan, but he submitted and obeyed. He took action and was bold. He persevered. The result? We hope and pray you will check out this week’s message for the answer!
