What is the mission of the church and are you committed to it? Unfortunately, many believers have a difficult time accurately defining the mission of the church. With the many needs in the world, it is easy to look at the church simply as a force for goodwill and good works. Additionally, many believers distance themselves from their role in the mission. The mission, they think, is to be carried out by the pastors, key leaders, and specially gifted personnel. There is good news today. We don’t have to be confused about the mission or our role in it. Jesus clearly defines the mission in Mark 16:15 and clearly describes who is to be involved.
