Text: Judges 2:6-15
Early on in the book of Judges, we find a generation of Israelites who did not know the Lord or the mighty works He had done for Israel. In their ignorance, they flocked to the false gods of the surrounding culture and suffered God’s judgment. We need to rise up and support members of the next generation within our church through prayer and sharing the amazing truths of our great God.
Text: Colossians 1:15-23
God has a perfect design and purpose for every life. Sadly because of sin we have all experienced brokenness and pain. This brokenness can be seen all throughout our world today. Thankfully, God has made a way for everyone to be restored back to Him and to pursue His perfect design through His Son Jesus.
Text: Mark 10:13-16
It is easy to think that we must grow up and change some things about ourselves in order for us to be accepted by God. In this message, however, we learn just the opposite. Jesus shows us that to be accepted we must come to Him with the honesty and faith of a child. He welcomes all who come to Him and delights in doing so.
Text: Luke 11:1-13
There are many things that we all can learn from children. In this message, we learn how Jesus calls all believers to persevere in prayer. To help us understand the principle, He pointed to a common trait in children that is an example for us to follow. When we pray, we need not be formal, eloquent, or even educated. We must simply come humble, honest, and fully dependent on Him.
