Shortsighted and Forgetful

We tend to not like change, to be resistant to it. In the Christian life, we are called to change and to be changed to be more like Jesus Christ. Making a change is impossible as long as we are making an excuse. When we lose our excuses we begin to discover our potential. As our faith grows, our lives change. Special guest Trevor Barton, the lead pastor of The Creek Church in London, KY uses 2 Peter 1:3-11 to show us how to keep from being shortsighted and forgetful in how we are to change from our old ways to live a life of godliness.

Made for Glory

We talk a lot about glory in the church, but have you ever stopped to think about what glory truly is? The Westminster Catechism states that “ the chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever,” but what does it mean to glorify God? The fact is that we were made for glory, but not for our own glory, for someone else’s. Exodus 33 shows us three different ways of thinking about glory - in terms of priority, presence, and place. Each of these three perspectives will help us understand how to truly glorify God.

Basic Training - Boot Camp: Sanctification

Sanctification is an essential doctrine for every believer to grasp hold of and understand. Salvation is not the end of our journey with Christ. It is just the beginning. Sanctification is the process by which God through His Holy Spirit is remolding us in the image of His Son Jesus Christ. As each member of Crosslink is tuned in by the Master through sanctification we all begin to move in harmony and unity to Impact the Valley and Bless the Nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
